what a wonderful day today!!!!ok...i must say that the national day celeb wasn't as nice and memorable as i expected. we did too little singing and we din really sing very entusiastically as one nation. but it was ok. The class assembly done by S3U and S3J was quite good. all bout history. merger...seperation... but the questions at the end of the skit a bit biased. they always call P1, P2 but not the P3, P4. and also notice none of the S3s got any prizes. hahaz. but it was really fun. there's this P6 girl who, before and after answering the qn, was like "Whoooooooooooo!!" so loudly lor... in the mike somemore. someone was like rolling her eyes, laughing, and giving this "taken-aback-by this-madness" look. hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
Then we went to celebrate Yanling's bday. Wanling, Karen, me and the bday girl. made some fan fictions in the MRT...so funny!!! You know, we spent a lot. All on food...yes and i din have a single thing to bring home. all in my tummy. In sch i ate ice-cream, then went 7-11 and ate donut, then went heeren ate marche. Damn nice. I must go back again!!! We ate pizza, potatoes, drank soups and lemonade. Then we bought gummies and share, then we bought icecream and sat by a bench by the street to observe the passers-by. This reminded me of someone, who says she sit at starbucks drinking coffee, reading a book and observing passers-by. hahaz.
Then we wanted to buy Yanling a bday cake. so we got her one small choc mousse cake from breadtalk. On the street, there was a street musician who was pretty good. then we borrowed lighter from an old man to light the candle for Yanling(yes, only one candle) and we sang her a bday song on the streets...so AA!!! but so fun!!! She was so touched that she teared!! I hope it was a memorable bday for her, complete with bday cake, candle(s), bday song, music...and friends!!!
on the mrt, we became even more AA. We remembered Ms Tan asking us whether we travel from ptA to ptB w/o looking at the surroundings...and so we decided to really observe the scenery. Here is what we observed and shouted out loud along the way:
Assessibility: narrow rds, wide rds, expressways, MRT station and tracks, bus-stops, railway tracks...overhead bridges?
Infracture and ammenities: community centres and clubs, playgrounds, parks, shops and shopping centers...are schools under this category? HDB flats?
Factories: flatted factories, light factories. Hmmm...they can be found near residential areas coz they are clean!! We don't even know what's inside. garment factories or assembly plants? Electrical and electronics?
happy bday to (in order of dates, to those born in Aug, if it's not over yet):
Yanling my dearest sister, Singapore...I love you!! Someone...someone special, Hua Rong our class's quietest scholar and a certain cute member of sciquads who might rather want her bday kept secret...
