... I would be the most self-delusional girl in the world if I say I'm not sad. In fact, to say that I'm unhappy and disappointed would be the biggest understatment ever mentioned. In other words, i'm totally upset, regretful, and whatever words i can find in the thesaurus when i check up the word "sad". but why ah? I also don't know. i mean, we got thru the first round through sheer luck. And i already know that we won't proceed on lor. Maybe it's coz i still had that little teeny tiny itsy bitsy glimmer of hope before today's challenge. So... "Iggy" was right after all.
The Great Science Challenge... hmmz. I'll be rooting for RGS and ACS(i). Nice peeps there. When can i ever see +her again??????? It's barly an hour since I last saw +her and i miss her already. But it's ok! I got her autograph!!!!! Ooooooooohhhhh!!! That's like the only nice thing that happened today!! Last time they gave us free hair tie and free dinner. Yupz, boohoo! I'll never see +her again! But i'll hold on tight to those memories! And i took The Miss Singapore Universe Appilcation Form 2004 too. Should have taken more. I didn't know the age limit is 18-27yrs. And why do they even have a "Sex:___" line there??? Isn't it obvious??
Valentine's Day round the corner...but...sigh. *You and +You, i'll probably never get to see you guys again. Love, why is it so uncontrollable???
Today SS toking bout birth rates. Are they really that desperate to increase the birth rate?? Regarding the controversial Foreign Talents topic, i think i'd welcome them lor. yupz. There are lots of factors leading to low birth rates. economic incentives like Baby Bonuses dosen't seem to be extremely effective. First, we can allow pregnant ladies to study in Uni or something. In Uni can have activities to bring couple together. Why ppl want to stay single? Increase cost of contraceptives, don't legalise abortion. Anyway, being a student these days are sooo tough, why would ppl want to bring lives into this world only to see them suffer? Can have like Mrs Singapore Universe...where only women with 3 or more children can take part. Baby contests... And don't limit edusave to first 3 children. Build more childcare centres, schs, ballet, piano schs. Have bigger HDB flats so ppl don't mind having more kids. give free counselling for ppl who want to remain single or have no kids. More slimming centres for post natal mothers. Cert for mother for every child born. More fertility clinics. Keep on researching on how to make pregnancy and birth more pleasurable. Use more babies in TV ads. show ppl how cute they are.
I still wanna go down to root for RGS and ACS(i) and see +her. But dunno whether free or not. This has been an extremely busy week. I like have neither love luck nor academic luck this year ='(
