Frustration, loneliness, helplessness, lack of self esteem. Super sad la.
A quote from Shape:"Keeping a journal on things that you're thankful for can make you fell happier and more optimistic. Researchers say that by recording their gratitude, people feel buffered psychologically from negative emotions..."
I always listen to what "researchers say". Coz I myself am a researcher!! haha.
Here are some things real researchers say:
* Chocolate is good for the skin and makes us happy (due to some chemical I forgot the name of) And dark chocolate lowers blood pressure.
* Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology: UV rays cause release of endorphins, the hormones that make us "high".
* Sex makes you smarter
Here is what I say: (of course not based on true research)
*December babies are good looking, August babies are attractive, Janruary babies are popular.
*People born in the later half of the year are smarter.
*Contrary to what doctors say, you won't grow much after 16.
*Height contributes greatly to self-esteem.
*Although height is multi-factoral, genes play the greatest role, so great that it seems only mono-factoral.
Back to the quote from Shape. Btw, this kind of mag is only for ppl who are damn free. Bought it for the free yoga session they are giving away. Inside got dunno what exercises to do, what things to eat... blah blah. Hate following rules and having restrictions on my diet. Those "Hot Bods" in Sunday Times always say sth like "Basically I eat anything I like and have no restriction on my diet. But I do try to avoid oily and fried stuff, too much sugar, alcohol...." Like that call "no restrictions"? Siao!
If they ever ask me, mine will be sth like:
height: 153cm
weight: 38kg
diet: oil and sugar
excercise: pe in school (which i try my very best to slack)
Which brings me back to the topic of gratitude.
I'm glad I'm not fat despite eating 2 meals in school and bingeing on fried food and chocolates at home. Only my skin is affected by all that oil. This reminds me of holidays, where i can sleep at 6am, wake up at 6pm and survive only on chips and soda.
I'm also glad I'm in SRP. At least there's something worthwhile to do this year.
I'm glad I got quite big eyes. This one I'm quite lucky. My parents are lucky actually. All their children got big eyes. Mine already the smallest. My mother has small eyes without double eyelids. I have double eyelids in one eye. Also glad i got no major abnormalities on my face except my expression.
I'm glad i'm 17. I'm young enough to still have time to grow taller and play yet old enough to watch NC16 shows.
