The world is a stage, and we are all actors.
We must choose a good role and play it convincingly to the right audiences.
It's okay to feel insecure and lost.
There are worse emotions out there we are still shielded from, so it will train us to be tough.
Binging on chocolates will make you feel better when you're sad.
Chocolates contain chemicals that the brain secrete when you're in love. So fall in love.
Nobody else will truly understand us.
We can build our own imaginary world, and hop in and out of it. But we cannot stay there for long.
Really?
2006 Winter Olympics. Today watched figure skating on SuperSports. Man, was very moved by the beauty of the sport. The guys hair all so long, like the 1980s hairstyle like that. There was one guy whose accompanying song was our sn line dance song. Lord of the Dance. Quite a dynamic piece. It gets higher and faster at the end. Oh, but he fell. There was also a Japanese guy. Poor thing, he fell at his first jump. Then also watched the scrubbing toilet sport a bit. That one not nice to watch la.
I'm always saying things like "I'm damn sad..." over the slightest thing like losing a game of bridge. Sad. What's the meaning of sadness? I don't know what's true sadness, pure anger. I haven't experienced war and bloodshed, partings from a loved one, betrayal. "So scary!" Do I know what's fear?
I like the book The Giver. It's about life in the future where people live by very rigid rules. Your occupation is chosen for you. At 9 you learn how to ride bikes, at 10 girls cut off their pigtails etc. Nobody has feelings, they are given drugs to supress them. People don't have sex. They apply for spouses and children. Everything is subjected to approval from a ministry. The children come from birthmothers, it's their occupation to give birth. People are just killed if they are useless to society. There are no colours, no music. Children are chastised for the slightest thing. Having fun is bad. Quite a scary book if you think deeply enough.
Why do people trumpet so enthusiastically their love for certain food, or tv show, or brand, or sport, yet are afraid to whisper their love for a person?
White is
the freshness of a daisy in a green field,
the lightness of fluffy clouds in a blue sky,
the softness of cotton candy on a pink tongue,
the cripsness of an ironed shirt behind a black tie.
I love white.
