Downloaded and watched quite a lot of movies these few days. Out of sheer boredom. And this one deserve a blog entry.

It's a true story. About this girl, Brandon, who dresses like a guy. In other words, butch. Apart from the usual chestbinding, loose clothes, cropped hair, she also has an artificial dick, to use in the gents... and elsewhere.

She fell in love with this girl, Lana. Brandon stayed at her house, where she smokes, drinks...and steal tampons. Comes the part I don't understand. They had "sex" without Lana discovering Brandon's gender. Hmmm. With the artificial dick I'm guessing.

One day Lana's ex discovered Brandon's secret. He stripped her, forced Lana to look at her. Then he brought the dyke somewhere, where he and his friends raped her. Brandon went back to Lana.

And the heartwrenching part. She still loved her, even if she was "half-monkey". Lana wanted to protect her, hold her. And love scenes after Lana knew Brandon's gender, were so much more sweet. Cos that makes her a real lesbian already. And as they prepare to elope, Lana's ex shot Brandon. Homophobia.

Actually this movie doesnt strike me as a lesbian one. Cos Brandon is more like a straight guy trapped in a girl's body. Rather than a lesbian. By the way, Hilary Swank is hot.
