I went with my sister for the ndp preview at marina bay. THE MARINA BAY WAVE! I enjoyed singing along when they played those good old national day songs. I was emo to tears for a few seconds. But such feelings are rare, fleeting and thus precious to me. Unlike the EMONEMO twins. And I loved the fireworks! And rummaging the funpack. Anybody wants the CD/tattoo? Oh the coupon booklet got discount for NightSafari, Genting Wildwildwet, CostaSands. Anybody wanna go (with me)?
After the parade, we went to watch Gone Shopping. So shuang pay $7 for saturday night ticket(SAFRA+HSBC) and we got last row centre seats. I WAS FREAKING IN THE MOVIE. Okay no laa... I didnt see myself in it. Cos they cut off the scene with me inside I think. See Ying's blog for photo proof! Anyway it's quite cute that the setting of the movie was mainly in Marina Square and we were in Marina Square. I liked the weirdness of it all and the depth of the characters. But I suppose I couldn't really feel for the abandoned kid, wife suffering from depression and cheated-on boyfriend. I'm so blessed.
And I also managed to catch Blossoming of Maximo Oliveros. It was only disappointing cos I read too many good reviews about it. I got bored in the middle. But I really loved the subtle and complex relationship between Maxi and his love. It's refreshing after all those distasteful romantic movies I've been watching in my boredom. Label it love or libel it lust. Oh and it led to Linus unearthing his latent love for large men. Both Maximo and Gone Shopping are NC16. Why when I go with my 14yrold sister we weren't carded, but when i go with 21yrold Linus, we were? Rhetorical question. Hahah.

From the airport, we went to the old Changi Hospital(not sure if it was really the old Changi Hospital) and Changi Beach (not sure if that is Changi Beach also). Silvanus is wacky. He uses female toilets and talks about emo stuff like clouds and funerals in the middle of the night.
