Went to watch 'A Serious Man'. It was based on the Book of Job, about a guy who met misfortune after misfortune. Really did not like it. It was just pointless to me. The characters are all so 1D. The wife's lover was completely flaky. The children shockingly self-centered. They even made fun of the 3 rabbis. Do I even see HUMANS in the plot? The whole movie felt so hollow. Maybe I'm completely missing the point. Maybe I'm trying to shake off the nagging feeling that the film represents elements of my life- the hopeless, out-of-control parts of my life.

I was so disturbed after the movie that I had to watch 'Home Alone 2' on my lappy for a bit of feel-good. Ahhh, Christmas in New York. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Toys in everyy storee. But the prettiest sight to see, is the holly that will be, on your own front door! This winter let's go skating at Rockefeller and Central Park! Rockefeller has the biggest christmas tree! Ahh.. imagine the New York skyline as our backdrop and Radio City performances amidst the Christmas lightup.

Today I woke up to snow. It was pretty heavy. Lifting my head a bit I could see the the snow swirling against the brown background of one of the zoology buildings. Quite charming. But wait! It's not Valentines' Day yet...
