I thought last year the judges was finally willing to put on their glasses. But this year was such a disappointment. Cheryl Kang?????!!!! Pls lor. She's not even attention grabbing since the beginning. Anyone in my school, or even class alone can be prettier and more eloquent.

[This is the winner??]

Ahhh.. my Sandy Chua. my favourite Miss Singapore Universe. Looking back at my blog archives last year, was sort of obsessed about beauty pagents. I think coz of Sandy Chua. She showed us that there can be real beauties in beauty pagents too. Although they are rare. Usually the true beauties don't take part. Sandy's grown so much prettier!! And last year she's already pretty enough. She's adorable and elegant.

Have to admit, this year's contestants standard higher than last year's. With the exception of Sandy of course, the top 5 this year all better than last year's. If I don't remember wrongly, there was one who look like a transvetite. Joan Seah was it?

Ah. Strength and weaknesses of women. yup, I agree with one of them that our emotional-ness is both or weakness and strength. Makes us vulnerable. Isn't that what some men like? A weak and vulnerable woman to protect. Anyone girl in a bad mood can just blame it on PMS and her boyfriend will be immediately caring and nice. Maybe also our lack of physical strength. both weakness and strength. And definately beauty. This one needs no explanation.

Last year's one was something about what will you tell your dotter if she wants to take part in MSU. The cliched aswer was "You go, girl!" So funny. And I also remember Sandy Chua saying something about rojak or popiah.

[Rebecca Lim]

Haha. It's quite none of my business actually whether the pretty girls are kicked out and a plainer one gets crowned. But just so gek la. Like that discourage even more chiobus to take part. Next up will be Miss USA and Miss Universe! Yay! Beauty pagents is a good chance to oogle and comment about so many chiobus, all lined up for your viewing pleasure.

[Ling Lee. She can't speak well leh.]

This year was rooting for Yvonne Lim. She seems quite nice. Rebecca Lim and Ling lee are the hot favourites. They're not bad too. Few of them are NUS undergrads. Any in science fac? Might get a chance to see them since I go NUS so often. Better bring autograph book everytime I go. Hey. this reminds me. Someone suppossed to help me get Sandy's autograph. Forgot who. She's now 3rd tear enigneering student at NUS. Aiyah. Engineering and science fac far apart.

[Yvonne Lim. This picture SO does not do her pretty face justice...and I think she looks like one of the Ares dance IC...Yihan I think]
